Birmingham Out and About
We’ll be providing you with more dancing opportunities than you’ll know what to do with, but in case you’re looking for something a little bit different, or if you have a day or two to spare, the city of Birmingham has a wide range of activities to offer. Below are just a few of our recommendations:
Symphony Hall: With over half a million visitors and around 800 concerts every year catering to a variety of musical tastes, Symphony Hall rates at the top of any to do list when visiting Birmingham.
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery: A world class museum in the heart of the city. Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery hosts regular visiting exhibits as well as its own permanent collection. Well worth checking out.
Shopping at The Bullring and Grand Central: If you’re looking for a great day out shopping, the Bullring provides everything you could want. Within an easy walk of the Bullring is the brand spanking new Grand Central (it’s actually a train station, but way way more) with more shops, as well as eateries and cafes.
Canals: Birmingham has a vast and wonderfully scenic canal system. Follow by foot or take an on-water tour, and while you’re at it, stop off along the way for lunch and coffee at Brindley Place, or cross to the other side for a close up look at Birmingahm’s ICC. The canals are a must-see while you visit us!
For those of you travelling by train or air you can check out the newly opened Resorts World Birmingham on the NEC complex beside Birmingham Intl train station- 50 outlet stores, 18 bars and restaurants, 11 screen cinema, casino and much more all under one roof.
