Friday July 22

2.00pm – 4.00pm – Join us for some glorious afternoon dancing at the bandstand in Canon Hill Park. If you get into town early for Brum LX don’t miss this opportunity to dance in a beautiful and popular part of Birmingham.

7.30pm – Welcome party featuring The Schwings all the way from Lithuania! This band play regularly for Lindy Hoppers and are sure to keep the floor hoppin. The dance is set in the stunning ballroom of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston.


Saturday July 23

Daytime dancing activities throughout the day at various venues across the city. Amazing international and local acts will provide a memorable day of music and dancing. The below schedule will be updated as we discover the best events for us to dance to.

17:00 Royal Angus Millennium Eagle Jazz Band


 2.30pm – 4.00pm – Dancing in the Aston University Student Union Hall.


7.30pm – Saturday night we host The Birmingham Swing Ball in Aston University Hall featuring the wonderful sounds of The Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra.
The Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra is Birmingham’s hippest 16-piece big band, specialising in authentic vintage swing music from the 1930s and 40s.  Taking its inspiration from the big bands of the swing era, the Orchestra plays the classic original arrangements of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Fletcher Henderson and Count Basie amongst others.  The Orchestra is a regular at swing dance events and is sure to get the joint jumpin’!


12pm – 4am – Brum LX Late Night Party at Cogs Bar, 61 Newhall Street, B3 3RB
For those with the energy we have a great late night venue lined up. At Cogs Bar we can dance the night away with our fab DJs playing our favourite Swing tunes in Birmingham’s famed Steampunk themed bar.


Sunday July 24

Daytime dancing activities throughout the day. As with the Saturday activities, we will keep you constantly updated as acts and venues are announced, and we choose the best music and venue combinations for you to enjoy a great day of dancing.

5pm – 8pm : Farewell party.

Red Star Swing featuring Martyn Nelson with his Rhythm Remedies. This band know exactly what dancers want and will keep you on the dancefloor all evening! Moseley is one of the UK’s most culturally diverse and creative villages, home to a wealth of festivals focusing on everything from music, craft beers and the arts.
